Great peice of softeware

I bought this to start a social networking site similar to Facebook. Though i couldn't find a template that matches facebook, i was surprised to find the numerous features in the script that could be turned on and off. The support was average but answered all my questions. They should come up with themes matching facebook , myspace etc.

I bought this because I have a business website and wanted to add social networking. The iscripts socialware program is really dating ware. I turned off and deleted the dating references but they still appeared on my website. I could not easily customize as their advertising claimed. They have limited templates to choose from; only 1 business. The classified section didn't work. Their knowledge base lacks details; 1 or 2 lines of instruction. They are seldom online, and you can't get them on the phone. I had to get a programmer to evaluate the program and he told me it would be costly to make the minor changes I wanted. So I am in the process of getting a refund; that too is a drawn out form. They were quick to take my money though. I can see now why they don't offer a free trial.

Once I installed the Socialware script on my site, i was configuring it. Then I realized it had way too many features than I need. Later I figured I can just turn them off for now. It was a nice surprise. if I want to add any of these modules in the future, I can just turn them on. no need to buy any additional plugins. My major compliant is that they don't support any other languages. I have a killer idea for a Spanish community site. It would be a pain if i have translate it.

I am happy with my social community. I selected iScripts socialware because its opensource, no plugins to buy and it supported all features I was looking for and some. I disabled some features i was not looking for in the panel, but i may enable some in the future. I needed some help during installation, their support helped out. Whenever I needed them, i could get in touch with phone or live chat. Nowadays its rare to find a software company who answers their phone:)
